PTA Ethical Issues and Dilemmas
Course Description: This course will provide information on common issues and dilemmas PTAs face in the workplace. The core areas of focus were taken from feedback the Chapter received from a recent survey of PTA members. A key portion of the program will be on documentation. We have asked APTA’s documentation expert, Anita Bemis-Dougherty, PT, DPT, MAS, APTA associate director of practice, to provide information and updates on documentation including skilled care & medical necessity. In addition, this program will provide opportunities to gain answers to ethical and billing issues, and guidance on working with PTs and supervising student PTAs. Through a general session and roundtables, you will gain answers to common dilemmas while networking with colleagues and key experts in the field.
Target Audience: PTAs and SPTAs
Educational Credit: This course has been approved for four credit hours (0.4 CEUs) by the Maryland Board of PT Examiners.
