Title: Visceral Manipulation: Abdomen 1 (VM1) presented by the Barral Institute – Part One of Certification Series
Date: April 12-15, 2012
Location: Baltimore, MD

Visceral Manipulation – organ specific fascial mobilization - is essential for orthopedics, women/men’s health, pediatrics, cardiovascular/pulmonary, and sports medicine. When an organ cannot move in harmony with its surroundings due to abnormal tone, adhesions or displacement, it works against other organs, as well as muscular, membranous, fascial and osseous structures. This disharmony creates immobility or abnormal points of tension that the body is forced to move around. This chronic tension, in turn, paves the way for disease and dysfunction throughout many systems of the body – musculoskeletal, urogenital, neurovascular, respiratory and more.
